Frequently Asked Questions

What does the application process involve?

You will submit an application form and, if you’re accepted, we’ll send you a form to complete registration and payment. In general, we want to make sure your experience will match other women working at a mid-to-senior level.

I’m already in a senior role — will this still be useful to me?

Absolutely! Sego Leading moves beyond management basics and focuses on your unique challenges, such as managing burnout or adapting to new technology.

How much time should I expect to commit outside of monthly sessions?

This class will have one homework assignment due each month. Homework is experiential and usually requires you to apply what you’ve learned over a day or sprinkled throughout the month and then report back via an online learning portal.

Can my employer sponsor this program?

Yes! In fact, most of our participants are employee-sponsored. If you’d like help working with them, please reach out.

What if I need to miss a session due to work travel?

Life happens—every session is recorded, and instructor slides are posted on our learning platform. We still encourage you to attend in person when you can. The peer relationships built in the room are hard to replicate online, and they’re a big part of what makes this cohort valuable.

I don’t have a specific next role in mind. Is this still right for me?

Yes, many women have said that learning about their career drivers has helped them hone in on what they want to do next.

Will the other women in my cohort actually be at my level?

Yes, our application process ensures that you’ll be sitting next to women who understand what it means to lead.

What if I’ve already done a lot of leadership development? Will this feel repetitive?

No. You may see some topical crossover, but Sego Leading is unique to women and unique to Utah. Our instructors and guests all work and live where you do!

Do you offer a payment plan or scholarships?

We may be able to help. Let us know if you need financial assistance.
