Jennifer Tarazon is the Director of Community Engagement at Mountain America Credit Union, where she leads enterprise community engagement strategy across a multi-state footprint, overseeing partnerships, multicultural outreach, financial inclusion initiatives, and efforts that strengthen community trust and organizational impact.
Prior to joining Mountain America, Jennifer served as Director of Communications for AARP Utah, Vice President of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber Foundation, and Business Services Director for Salt Lake County’s Office of Regional Development under Mayors Ben McAdams and Jenny Wilson.
In 2021, Governor Spencer Cox appointed Jennifer as the first Latina Commissioner of the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services. She currently serves as Vice Chair. Jennifer also chairs the PBS Utah Advisory Board and serves on the boards of the Suazo Business Center and the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School.
