Read the extended bio

Anne Brown is the President and CEO of the Cook Center for Human Connection, a national nonprofit working to eradicate youth suicide and deliver systemic mental health support to school communities across the country. A classroom teacher turned EdTech executive turned nonprofit leader, Ms. Brown has spent her career moving between the worlds of education, corporate strategy, and public health and using each to make the others more effective.

Ms. Brown spent over two decades as an EdTech executive, including nearly four years as Vice President of Business Development and Education at Waterford.org and more than eleven years at Pearson, where she rose through roles spanning grants strategy, government relations, business development, and curriculum implementation. She understands from the inside how educational resources reach, or fail to reach, the districts and families that need them most. That operational fluency now drives initiatives like ParentGuidance.org, a 24/7 mental health platform serving over 3.3 million families across 46 states, and the Cook Center's expanding network of school-based partnerships.

A sought-after keynote speaker at state and federal levels, Ms. Brown serves as a Public Commissioner on the SafeUT Commission, Utah's statewide crisis chat and tip line for students, parents, and educators. She works at the intersection of policy, research, and practice, helping district leaders understand that student and staff wellbeing is not a support service bolted onto the margins of academic strategy. It is the foundation everything else is built on.
